About the Company

Established in 1999, Lokmangal Agro Industries Ltd. is Lokmangal Group's first sugar factory, constructed and commissioned in a record 6 months and 6 days. The swiftness stands as a testimony to the planning and execution skills of the Group – featured in the Limca Book of Records as the fastest constructed sugar factory in India. The ISO 9001:2008 & FSSC 22000 certified Company comprises a sugar division with a cane crushing capacity of 2500 tonnes per day with corresponding, a distillery which produces 160 kilo liters per day of alcohol. This factory also has a bagasse fuelled co-generation plant which generates 4.5 MW of electricity, and a biogas generator driven by 36000 M3 of biogas generated from the distillery spent wash, which generates a further 4 MW of electricity.Utmost care is taken to prevent air and water pollution by using the latest technology such as UASB/CSTR digester. With demand for ethanol rising as an additive in combustible fuels, the company is also adding to its bottom line through its state-of-the-art ethanol plant. The Lokmangal Group has always been extremely eco-conscious, and several environment preservation measures have been implemented. These include installation to eliminate CO2 emission, and enlisting treatment of water used to flush out fly ash residue from the boilers, converting this otherwise soil detrimental waste water into becoming a valuable resource for agriculture.
